MRHFM’s dedication to helping others doesn’t stop with mesothelioma victims. The mesothelioma law firm is also dedicated to helping our nation’s veterans overcome the challenges of civilian life after deployment. On October 11, 2014, one of MRHFM’s own will step up to the plate to show support and raise money for those who have served and their families.

Corey Hendricks, an investigator in the firm’s bankruptcy department, recently created a team to enter the Tough Mudder Obstacle course in Montgomery City, MO. He has named the team “For Those Past and Present”. In addition, the firm has donated $5,000 to Hendrick’s team, all proceeds of which go back to Wounded Warrior Project, an organization dedicated to honoring and empowering wounded veterans.

Tough Mudder is a grueling 10-12 mile obstacle course created to test the limits of its participants, all for a good cause. The goal of the event is to raise funds and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project, as well as to empower its participants in the process. Participants must work together as a team to complete the course and overcome fears in the process, much like military personnel while on a deployment.

Hendrick’s team is taking donations to help give back to those who selflessly serve our nation. All of the proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project. Any contributions to the team, big or small, are greatly appreciated.

About the Wounded Warrior Project

Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is a veterans’ service organization that offers a variety of programs, service and events for wounded veterans of the military actions following the events of 9/11/2001. It operates as a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization with a mission to "honor and empower Wounded Warriors" of the United States Armed Forces, as well as provide services and programs for the family members of its registered "alumni," as its registered veterans are called.

WWP's vision is to "foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation's history," as it works to raise awareness and enlist the public's aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women, to help severely injured service members aid and assist each other and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.
